Established in 1958, Barnsley Trout Club has been a fisherman’s paradise for over six decades. Nestled in the beautiful foothills of the Pennines, our club offers forty acres of prime trout fishing, just off the A629, north of the picturesque market town of Penistone.
Our well-stocked reservoir is home to rainbow and blue trout ranging from 1.5 lbs to 8.0 lbs, regularly replenished throughout the season. Anglers may also encounter native brown trout reaching an impressive 10 lbs.
Primarily a fly fishery, we also offer mixed-method fishing, catering to a variety of angling styles. We provide annual memberships, but visiting anglers are always welcome with our day and evening tickets.
As a members’ club, we take pride in our friendly and welcoming community. Whether you're an experienced angler or just getting started, you'll find expert advice and a warm atmosphere at Barnsley Trout Club.
